After more than three years of collaboration, during which matching criteria were selected, an algorithm was programmed and the piloting processes were set up in the participating federal states, the project partners from science and practice jointly presented their results. The stakeholders involved each looked at the project from their own perspective and presented their motivation and conclusions.
The data collected shows that the arrival conditions in municipalities actually suit individual people seeking protection differently (and vice versa). A data-supported distribution promises a better fit than the random principle. In addition, a procedure has been developed that works in principle and can now be developed further.
Following on from the presentation by the project partners, State Secretary Bernd Krösser from the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs commented on the project and spoke about possible links between the approach and the overall context of an increasingly digitalized migration administration.
